MOSCOW, Aug 18 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operators MTS and MegaFon are seeking to claim 1.3 billion rubles from mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Danycom, which offered free connection for advertising SMSs, for unpaid services, business daily Kommersant reported on Tuesday.
The Moscow Arbitration Court will hear on September 1 a 383.9 million ruble lawsuit filed by MTS against Dany Call, which manages Danycom and will hear on September 22 a 933.9 million ruble lawsuit by MegaLabs, a unit of MegaFon. The both companies filed the lawsuits because of accumulated debts.
A Danycom spokesperson said MTS’ lawsuit is about inter-operator settlements for Internet traffic routing, and MegaLabs’ lawsuit is about settlements on A2P traffic carried on a counteragent’s network.
Danycom offered free tariffs with limited traffic subject to receipt up to five advertising SMSs per day. The operator introduced payment for subscription for such tariffs of 500 rubles and 1,000 rubles on August 13.
